The delegation included Vice Deans Chai Shaoming and Chen Huan, University of Aberdeen teachers Marco Palomino and Yu Zhenhua, and international affairs staff. Nanhai officials included Deputy Director He Junqi.

Discussions focused on high-level talent attraction and support, university–local cooperation, postgraduate training, and industry–academia–research collaboration. Chai outlined the Institute’s Sino-British cooperative education model and integrated bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral training, stressing its alignment with Nanhai and Greater Bay Area industrial needs. Chen presented the Foshan campus’s international education demonstration zone and its overseas teaching team, proposing cooperation in talent exchange, research collaboration and international education.

He Junqi introduced Nanhai’s industrial base, talent policies and innovation platforms, including its “six-wheel drive” talent system and strengths in hydrogen energy, semiconductors and robotics. Both sides discussed an international talent community, support services for foreign teachers, and “Into Nanhai” and “Into SCNU” exchange activities. The Institute aims to deepen links between education, talent, industry and innovation, supporting Guangdong’s “AI+” initiative and high-quality Greater Bay Area development.
