On June 17, the first 2026 Academic Committee meeting of the Aberdeen Institute was held online, chaired by Prof Steven Tucker. Members from SCNU and UoA reviewed and discussed agenda items including minutes of the December 2025 meeting, outstanding action items, extended module teaching, 2026 graduation theses, 2026 student recruitment, 2025–2026 student academic performance, IELTS support, student mobility, postgraduate programme progress and revised training scheme. The institute will push forward two key tasks: building an integrated undergraduate-postgraduate-doctoral training system for outstanding students and reinforcing research supervision to improve students’ practical and innovative abilities.
