Student of Aberdeen Institute Wins the First Prize in the Third English Writing Contest of SCNU
Recently, the Third English Writing Contest of SCNU released the final results. Xinyi Zhou, student from Information Management and Information Systems programme of Aberdeen Institute, wins the first prize out of 422 entries, with her prize-winning composition named “Telling China’s Story: A SCNU Professor’s Laudable Work in Land Restoration and Talent Cultivation”. In the meanwhile, Huiqing Huang and Ruofan Liao, students from Software Engineering programme win the prizes of excellence, and Aberdeen Institute wins the Best Organization award as well.
Aberdeen Institute has been attaching great importance to English learning in the teaching plans. 69.7% of students were encouraged to participate in this contest, which aims to provoke students’ interest in English writing, as well as to tell China's stories and deliver China's voices in the international arena.
