Weihua Ma, Vice President of SCNU and Dean of Aberdeen Institute, Listened to Students' Voices and Gave A Lecture on the Spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China

On December 3, Aberdeen Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (hereinafter referred to as "Aberdeen Institute") invited Weihua Ma, Vice President of SCNU and Dean of Aberdeen Institute, to meet students, listen to their voices and also give a lecture on the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Based on the experiences of studying and living at Nanhai Campus, student representatives raised difficulties and advice in such areas as course learning, network facilities, self-study space, sports facilities and venues, campus transportation, dining hall, school hospital, and accommodation environment, etc. Relevant department representatives attending the meeting responded to students’ questions one by one, and proposed feasible solutions and improvement measures from a short-term and long-term perspective. Weihua Ma emphasized that Aberdeen Institute should establish effective channels and mechanisms for regular communication with students, jointly discover and solve problems in a timely manner to build Aberdeen Institute better and better.

In the lecture, Weihua Ma interpreted the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Party in a vivid way, then shared the historical evolution and spirit of SCNU since its establishment, and proposed the mission of youth in the new era through examples of outstanding students and alumni of SCNU.

Changhai Zhang, Party Secretary of the Aberdeen Institute, summarized that the lecture had a guiding significance for all teachers and students in understanding the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session. He also encouraged students to put the university motto into practice throughout their four-year study in SCNU.
